HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's ice hockey team falls against visiting Plymouth State on Saturday afternoon at Lee Clement Arena in Henniker, New Hampshire in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action.  

THE BASICS 
Score: Plymouth State University 5, New England College 3 
Records: Pilgrims 4-14-1, 1-10-1 NEHC | Panthers 3-16-0, 2-10-0 NEHC 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Both teams came into the first period red-hot, with each team scoring two goals. The 'Grims goals were scored by freshman forward Olivia Lindberg (Enkoping, Sweden) and freshman defender Gabrielle Iwinski (Batavia, Ill.). 

• Plymouth State was able to obtain a slight edge over NEC in the second period. With Emily DeSimone scoring the game-changing goal for the Panthers. 

• The Panthers were able to put in two more goals in the third period from Mia Zaniboni and Addie Swanson. Freshman forward Isabella Marzano (Warwick, R.I.) scored the game's final goal that ended 5-3 in favor of the Panthers. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• Sophomore goalie Thea Joerö (Uppsala, Sweden) racked up a solid 40 saves in the high-scoring contest. 

• Panthers' junior goalie Amelia Julian (Apple Valley, Minn) ended with 22 saves of 25 total shots.  

• Along with outscoring NEC on goals, Plymouth State outshot the 'Grims by a massive 45-25 advantage.  

UP NEXT 

• NEC will return to Lee Clement Ice Arena on Friday to face NEHC foe Norwich University in the first of the two consecutive games with puck-drop at 4:00 PM. 

• Plymouth State will host NEHC opponent, the University of Southern Maine, on Friday with the puck dropping at 6:00 PM.
