Strength & Conditioning
Here at New England College, strength is the foundation of athletic performance. It is upon this basis that we build speed, power, and greater technical efficiency for our athletes. Our goal is that our methods always be grounded in scientific research, and to adapt and innovate based on our specific needs and resources. We want to take a sport science approach towards training our athletes. We want to make educated decisions based on metrics we can reliably measure.
Pilgrim Athletics subscribes to an annual periodization model. Achieving both the strength/power demands and metabolic demands of a sport remains our highest priority throughout the annual program. The facilities as well as the strength and conditioning staff at New England College afford us the ability to be dedicated to our sports teams. We strive for success both in the weight room and on the field. Finally, we look to instill in our athletes a standard of excellence with an expectation that they will carry it into their competitive environment. Go Pilgrims!
