New England College

The doors to NEC's new Athletics Center were officially opened on April 2nd, 2026, having been designed to support the needs of student athletes, staff, and visitors.

The facility includes a new fitness center, modern locker rooms, and additional office space for coaches and athletics staff. The new fitness center, which is open to the entire NEC community, features expansive cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, and a stair climber. The space, which acts as an expansion to the recently renovated and upgraded strength lab, is equipped with additional strength equipment and a brand new rack of dumbbells. On it's bottom level, the Athletics Center contains seven newly designed locker rooms for Pilgrims athletics teams. Adjacent to the Bridges Gymnasium, newly constructed offices provide a home for athletics coaches and staff.

The Athletic Center's design, which will be completed with a coat of white paint this Spring, seamlessly integrates with NEC's campus-wide academic architecture.
