Women's Ice Hockey Drops Regular-Season Finale

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The New England College Women's Ice Hockey team falls to No. 3 Elmira College, 5-0 in the regular-season finale, in New England Hockey Conference action, Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Soaring Eagles were able to get on the scoreboard in the latter portion of the first period, as Emma Crocker scored with just under three minutes remaining in the opening period. Elmira outshot the Pilgrims 16-5.

In the second period, Elmira was able to strike three times to expand their advantage to 4-0. Crocker added another goal before McKenzie Schmidt, and Erika Goleniak recorded scores. The Soaring Eagles tacked on a fifth goal in the third period, with 28 seconds remaining in regulation.
