HENNIKER, N.H. – Despite a career-high 53 saves by Sean D'urso, the New England College Women's Ice Hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to Johnson & Wales University, in New England Hockey Conference action, Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the first period, Johnson & Wales controlled the majority of the action, as they outshot New England College 23-4, while the Pilgrims won 9-of-17 faceoffs in the opening 20 minutes. Sean D'urso recorded 23 saves in the opening period for NEC.

In the middle frame, the Pilgrims closed the game in the shot department, but neither team was able to break the scoreless tie. It wasn't until halfway through the third period that JWU was able to get on the board. With 9:22 showing on the clock, Hannah Tracy was able to poke in a loose puck to give the Wildcats the lead. Tracy tacked on another goal in the final minute, as she scored an empty-net goal.
