Women's Ice Hockey Gameday #1: Johnson & Wales

The New England College Women's Hockey Team opens their 2021-22 schedule on the road, as they take on familiar foe, Johnson & Wales (R.I.), in New England Hockey Conference action, Friday evening.

New England College will look to improve from a 1-7-2 record in 2020-21. NEC returns 14 players, while also mixing in 11 new faces.

Johnson & Wales (2-0-0, 0-0-0 NEHC) opened the year last weekend, as the Wildcats took two from Curry College (4-1, 3-2). Soph Hamel led the way for JWU with three goals, while Kaitlin Boyer added three assists. Sofia Tamayo picked up her first two wins of her career, after recording a 1.50 goals-against average, while also maintaining a .938 save percentage

JWU leads the all-time series 4-3-2.
