Tara Turcotte, the New England College women's ice hockey team fell to Plymouth State University in New England Hockey Conference action, Friday evening at HanawayRink.
The Pilgrims drop to 3-18-1 overall, and 0-12-1 in conference on the season, while the Panthers improve to 6-13-1, and 4-7-1 in NEHC action

HOW IT HAPPENEDNew England College opened the contest on the attack, as the Pilgrims four of the first five shots, including Turcotte hitting the crossbar on one shot. The Panthers responded as they opened the scoring in the seventh minute of action. Three minutes later,
Cortney Reyes made a pass from the defensive end to the tape of Turcotte, who found her way on the breakaway. She was able to beat the Plymouth netminder top shelf. The game would remain tied at 1-1, heading into the second period.
Eight minutes into the second period, the Pilgrims were able to grab the advantage. Turcotte was able to find the back of the net for the second time in the game, as
Cassandra Kelly and Reyes picked up the helpers on the power-play goal. The Panthers would tie the game up at 2-2 30 seconds later as Alexis Fagan scored for the hosts. Plymouth State would get a power-play goal for themselves five minutes later to regain the lead. The Panthers would tack on two goals in the third period, as the collected the 5-2 win.
GOALTENDERSCianna Weirrecorded 46 saves for the Pilgrims. Olivia Petito and Becca Bridge split time in cage for the Panthers, combining for 20 saves.
