Women's Ice Hockey Drops Home Finale to Plymouth State, 3-1

Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. The New England College women's ice hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision to Plymouth State University in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action in Lee Clement Arena, Friday evening.

Following today's matchup, the Pilgrims fall to 3-17-1 on the season with a 2-9-1 record in the NEHC. The Panthers rise to 5-13-3 overall, and 3-6-3 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Plymouth State got on the board in the opening minute as Brooke Maggy brought the puck behind the net, and fed Kelsey Roy from the left circle and scored.

In the opening minutes of the second period, the Pilgrims evened the score, as Maisie Tatum-Borich found the back of the net. Katie Donohue won the board battle and fed Tatum-Borich in the slot. Halfway through the period, the Panthers regained the lead, as Amber Thomas scored off the rebound caused by a Brooke Maggy shot. Plymouth would head into the third period up a pair after Alexis Fagan scored with six seconds left in the frame.

In the final period, the Pilgrims outshot their opposition, but could not find the back of the net.

GOALTENDERS
Cianna Weir registered 34 saves in net for the Pilgrims, while Emelie Lindqvist had 37 stops to pick up the win for the Panthers.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-This is the 22nd meeting between these two teams, NEC still leads the all-time series 12-8-2
-Tatum-Borich found the back of the net for New England College for the second straight game.
