HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pilgrims picked up a two minute penalty early in the game for body checking to give the Knights a power play. The Knights were able to capitalize on the opportunity and take a 1-0 lead which they would carry into the second period. In the second Neumann was able to find the back of the net again and take a 2-0 lead. The third period saw a similar start to the first with another New England College Penalty and a Knights goal. Neumann would go on to score one more time in the game and take a 4-0 victory. Despite the loss the Pilgrims led in shots with 37.
GOALTENDERS
Weir made 26 saves in the contest on 30 shots on goal while for the Knights, Helen Cooney picked up theshutout with 37 saves.
