Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College women's ice hockey team played to a 2-2 draw with Johnson & Wales in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action.
Both teams will go to 1-6-1 on the season with a 1-4-1 record in the NEHC with the tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wildcats got on the board early. Cassie Wakefield scored on the powerplay to earn the 1-0 lead. Later on in the period, Cassidy Simanski fired home a shot from the slot, also on the powerplay, to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.
The Pilgrims would respond in the second period as a pair of powerplay goals and collegiate firsts came from
Cortney Reyes (Chino Hills, Calif.) and
Haylee Clark (Woodstock, New Brunswick). The freshmen duo scored 5:34 into the second period and just one minute and 33 seconds later to tie the contest.
That would be all the scoring in the contest but a total of 86 minutes in penalties came in the contest. All four goals were scored on the powerplay.
GOALTENDERS
Cianna Weir (Olds, Alberta) and Jasmine Mucci made 32 saves each on 34 shots on goal. Weir will go to 0-3-1 while Mucci will be 1-5-1 on their seasons.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Pilgrims will host Amherst College on Tuesday in nonconference action. They are scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
