Box Score PAWTUCKET, R.I.-The New England College women's ice hockey team dropped a 3-2 loss to the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales University on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
The win boosts JWU to 4-7-3 on the season, while NEC falls to 1-9-1 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wildcats scored first with the only goal of the first period. They would take a 2-0 lead just over three-and-a-half minutes into the second period.
Five minutes later, Erica Lissner (Woburn, Mass.) scored a wrap-around shorthanded goal to put the Pilgrims on the scoreboard. It marked Lissner's first goal of the season.
NEC tied the score at 2-2 on the power play nearly 13 minutes into the final stanza when GinaBeth Manganiello (Peabody, Mass.) stuffed in a rebound off of a Vicki Shaw (Dracut, Mass.) shot for her first goal of the year.
JWU would not let the score stay tied for long though, as Hannah Tracy scored the game-winning goal just 4:10 after the NEC goal.
NEC finished 1-for-5 on the power play, while JWU was 0-for-3.
GOALTENDERS
NEC netminder Ashley Castriotta (Framingham, Mass.) tallied 29 saves, while JWU's Kami Weiner had 23 saves in the win.
