Women's Ice Hockey falls to Colby, 2-0

Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. The New England College Pilgrims women's ice hockey dropped a closely contested matchup with Colby College, 2-0.

With the loss, the Pilgrims will fall 2-15-1 on the season while Colby improves to 5-7-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Mules jumped on the board early when they took full advantage of an early NEC penalty. Tay Munson (Wilmette, Ill.) fired a shot from the right side of the ice and Cassidy Holzer (Minneapolis, Minn.) cleaned up the rebound from the left post.

After a scoreless second period, the Mules added another goal just past the halfway point of the third. Munson fired a shot from the point. Her shot found the back of the net through a screen.

GOALTENDERS
NEC's Jackie Clark (Dorchester, Mass.) made 36 saves on 38 shots while Colby's Savannah Shaw (Auburn, Maine) stopped all 17 shot she faced.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Pilgrims will be next in action on Friday, January 26th, when they travel to the University of New England for New England Hockey Conference starting at 7 p.m.
