HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's soccer team formally announced their schedule for the 2023 season on Wednesday.
The 2023 season marks NEC's first season in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). The Pilgrims are coming off back-to-back appearances in the championship finals of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) tournament.

NEC will open their season on Friday, September 1^st against Plymouth State University at Don Melander Field in Henniker with a 12:00 p.m. start time. The team will play their first GNAC contest in school history on Wednesday, September 6^th when they host Rivier College in a 7:00 p.m. game.

Other key dates on the schedule include Thursday, October 24^th when they host former NECC rival and now GNAC opponent Mitchell College in a rematch of last year's NECC semifinals, a 1-0 overtime victory for the 'Grims.

The Pilgrims are expected to return several standout players, including sophomore goalkeeper Stephanie Bronowicki (Corona, Calif.), last year's NECC Rookie of the Year. Graduate student defender Reese Hultgren (Charlton, Mass.), a 2022 NECC All-Conference selection, and senior midfielder Cate Wheeler (Benton City, Wash.) will provide leadership on and off the field.
