HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College women's soccer team opened their 2022 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) schedule with a rematch of last year's conference championship final as they lost 4-0 to visiting Lesley University on Friday evening at Don Melander Field in Henniker, New Hampshire.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lesley sophomore forward Abby Kalou (Chicago, Ill.) got the Lynx on the board in the fifth minute on a penalty kick.
- In the 23rd minute, Lesley sophomore defender Sacha Porter (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) made it 2-0 when a 30-yard arching blast went just over the keeper's outstretched hand and in for her second goal of the season.
- Then with 9:26 left in the halftime, Porter found sophomore forward Lauren Rudolph (Winchester, Va.) for a header into the goal to put the Lynx up 3-0 going into the halftime break.
- Finally, with 2:54 remaining in the game, Lesley first year midfielder Zoe Curtaz (Novato, Calif.) breached the defense and shot at point blank range for the final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC freshman goalkeeper Stephanie Bronowicki (Corona, Calif.) continued her stellar rookie season with a nine save performance for the Pilgrims.
- Lesley sophomore goalkeeper Lolo Lacy (Colorado Springs, Colo.) picked up the win with four stops.
- NEC freshman defender Brynn Murphy (Unitity, N.H.) had a team-high two shots.
- Lesley out-shot NEC, 26-10.
- The Pilgrims are now 0-6-0 all-time against the Lynx.
