Women's Volleyball Opens 2022 Season At Pacific Coast Classic

LA VERNE, Calif. – The New England College women's volleyball team opened their 2022 season with a pair of losses at the Pacific Coast Classic hosted by the University of La Verne in southern California on Friday in non-conference action, falling in a fierce four-set battle to Linfield University in their opener before being swept by Whitter College in the nightcap.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • NEC junior outside hitter Amber Thi (Kalihi, Hawaii) led the 'Grims on the day with 19 points over seven sets, including 17 kills to go along with ten digs.
  • Junior setter Arianna Blaize-Llamas (Honolulu, Hawaii) setup the NEC offense with 21 set assists.
  • Senior libero Jaycie Kodama (Pauoa Valley, Hawaii) led the defensive effort with a combined 24 digs on the day.
