HOW IT HAPPENED
- In just the third minute, the Spartans took the lead off a cross to the top of the box over the keeper's head scored by Castleton sophomore forward Rylee Pepin (Windham, Maine).
- Late in the first half and early in the second, Castleton picked up insurance goals from freshman forward Maggie McKearin (Proctor, Vt.) and sophomore midfielder Alexis Billings (Carver, Mass.).

- NEC freshman goalkeeper Stephanie Bronowicki (Corona, Calif.) continued to show why she's one of the most dynamic netminders in the region, tallying 13 saves on the night.
- Castleton senior goalkeeper Alex Benfatti (Gloversville, N.Y.) picked up the win for the Spartans with three saves in 74 minutes.
- Shots were 28-5 in favor of Castleton.
- The Pilgrims fell to 6-21-2 all-time against the Spartans.
