Castleton, Vt. – The New England College women's soccer team lost 3-0 at Castleton University on Wednesday evening at Dave Wolk Stadium in Castleton, Vermont in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In just the third minute, the Spartans took the lead off a cross to the top of the box over the keeper's head scored by Castleton sophomore forward Rylee Pepin (Windham, Maine).
• Late in the first half and early in the second, Castleton picked up insurance goals from freshman forward Maggie McKearin (Proctor, Vt.) and sophomore midfielder Alexis Billings (Carver, Mass.).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• NEC freshman goalkeeper Stephanie Bronowicki (Corona, Calif.) continued to show why she's one of the most dynamic netminders in the region, tallying 13 saves on the night.  
• Castleton senior goalkeeper Alex Benfatti (Gloversville, N.Y.) picked up the win for the Spartans with three saves in 74 minutes.
• Shots were 28-5 in favor of Castleton.
• The Pilgrims fell to 6-21-2 all-time against the Spartans.
