Box Score HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College Volleyball team, who was down 2-1, rallied past the Lions of Eastern Nazarene College, in the New England Collegiate Conference opener, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The two teams were evenly matched throughout the whole match, as the first set, as neither team was able to grow their advantage to more than three points. The Pilgrims were able to take the first set 25-23, capped off by a kill from Amber Thi.
The second set was controlled by Eastern Nazarene, which they won 25-14. In the third, NEC rallied from down 4-0 to take a 6-4 lead, from there, the two teams jockeyed for control down the stretch, but ENC took the third set 26-24.
In the fourth set, the 'Grims jumped out to a fast 7-2 lead. The Lions were able to claw back to tie the setup at 24-24. With match point for ENC, Tatiana Sampson extended the match with a key kill, before following that up with a block to go up 26-25. The Pilgrims were able to take the fourth set after receiving back-to-back kills from Livia Elfering and Thi.
The fifth set was all NEC, as they jumped out to a 10-2 lead and eventually won the match 15-10.
