th minute when
Molly Bieksha was able to score for New England College off an assist from
Mackenzie Fels. The Pilgrims had two corner kick opportunities while Bay Path had one in the first half. Neither team was able to find the back of the net again leading to a 1-0 lead for NEC heading into the second half.
The Pilgrims saw a lot of opportunities in the second half with 11 shots five of which were on goal. They were able to capitalize on just one in the second half off a shot from
Kayla Paquin, her first collegiate goal, assisted by
Meghan Hickey. The Wildcats saw some opportunities as well with seven shots and two corner kicks but were unable to capitalize on any. New England College was able to come away with a 2-0 win.
GOALTENDERSAllie Stoddartpicked up the shutout, after collecting seven saves in the contest for the Pilgrims.
Emily Sashko also saw time for NEC. Caitlyn Esposito recorded eight stops for the Hawks.
