Box Score CHICOPEE, Mass. The No. 3 seeded New England College women's soccer team's season comes to a close, as the Pilgrims fall to the No. 2 seeded Elms College 2-1 in the New England Collegiate Conference Semifinals Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENEDNew England College was the first team to get on the board, as
Emily Wightman's shot beat the Elms keeper in the 23
rd minute. Seven minutes late, Elms was able to net the equalizer. Elaina Vilar was credited with the goal, while Kayla Pasquel and Abby Goodnow picked up the helpers on the tally. The two teams would head into the locker room tied at 1-1, despite New England College maintaining the 6-5 advantage in shots.
Elms would apply pressure coming out of the intermission, as the Blazers fired four of the first five shots of the second half. Elms eventually broke through in the 84
th minute, as Morgan Fourcault recorded the go-ahead goal. New England College had a late chance to tie the game up at 2-2, but the Pilgrims would not capitalize off the free-kick just outside the Blazers' box.
GOALTENDERSAllie Stoddart recorded six saves in net for the Pilgrims, while Rebecca Molinalso picked up six stops for the host Blazers.
