Box Score HENNIKER, N.H.-The New England College women's soccer team picked up a 3-0 win over Dean College on Tuesday evening in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action.
The win boosts NEC to 9-7-2 overall and 5-1-1 in NECC play, while Dean falls to 3-9-1 overall and 1-5-1 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pilgrims wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Bridgette Winters (Hillsboro, N.H.) connected on a pass from the right side of the field by Delaney Dupuis (Rochester, N.H.).
In the 19
th minute Michaela Pomeroy (Thetford, Vt.) scored a cross-net header off of a give-and-go by teammates Emilie Nowakowski (Meriden, Conn.) and Winters.
In the 30
th minute, Pomeroy bent it in from about 25 yards for her second score of again. Shamiyah Lynch (Brooklyn, N.Y.) assisted.
Neither team scored in the second half, despite combining for 29 shots and nine shots-on-goal. In total, the Pilgrims held a 54-5 advantage in shots over the 90-minute game.
GOALKEEPERS
NEC's Kayla Pugliese (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) stopped both shots she faced, which came in the final minute of the game on a breakaway by Dean's Miranda Seacord. Dean netminder Mary Parisee recorded 15 saves.

The Pilgrims are back in action on Saturday for their final home regular season game of 2018. The Pilgrims will honor 11 seniors in a ceremony prior to kickoff.
