Amherst added a second goal in the 23rd minute as Rubii Tamen (Washington, D.C.) found open space in the middle and shot left to beat NEC keeper Kayla Pugliese (Mamaroneck, N.Y.). The Mammoths carried the 2-0 lead into halftime.
Amherst's Tamen made a game for herself in the second half, as she scored three consecutive goals in in the 52nd, 55th, and 58th minutes to bring her scoring total to six goals this season.
In the 72nd minute, Cassie Chin (Ipswich, Mass.) scored her third goal of the season after Cook drove down the left side of the goal line and passed to Chin in the front to set up the one-touch goal.
The Mammoths added one final goal in the 83rd minute on Laura Greer's (Boulder, Colo.) second goal of the season.
Amherst held a 29-12 advantage in shots on the day.
