Tate Earns Second GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week Nod

HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College men's soccer junior Lukas Tate (South Jordan, Utah) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season for the week ending on September 21st.

Tate and the 'Grims picked up their first GNAC win on Saturday against Emmanuel College (Mass.) 1-0. Tate played a crucial role in the Pilgrims' win, facing seven shots on goal and saving all seven shots to give the 'Grims the win. The win comes against a Saints team that reached the GNAC Semifinals last season after posting a 10-6-3 record in 2024. Tate has now saved 22 shots this season with an .815 save percentage and sits at a 4-2 record with two shutouts.

The junior currently sits third in the conference in save percentage and second in goals-against average (1.00). He led the league in both stats in seven games last season and now is getting the chance to prove it once again as the team's primary goalkeeper.

Tate and the 'Grims continue GNAC competition when they travel to Newton, Massachusetts on Tuesday as they face the Lasers of Lasell University. The Pilgrims return home on Saturday to host the Dean Bulldogs in a GNAC matchup.
