READFIELD, Maine – The New England College alpine ski teams competed at Kent's Hill in Readfield, Maine on Saturday, February 1st, facing teams from Bowdoin, Saint Joseph's College of Maine, the University of Maine, and the University of Maine-Farmington. The women's team earned a third place finish while the men's squad finished fourth.
TOP 'GRIMS
- NEC graduate Malin Alusic-Bingham paced the 'Grims on the women's side with a sixth-place finish with runs of 33:29 and 33:12 for a collective 1:06.41.
- NEC senior Madeline Ten Kate (Dryden, N.Y.) finished in 16th place after runs of 36:32 and 36:05 for a total time of 1:12.67.
- NEC sophomore Lorelei Holloway (Ashland, Va.) recorded a total time of 1:14.17 with runs of 37.81 and 36.36 for a 20th overall finish.
- NEC freshman Peyton Holmes (Hooksett, N.H.) clocked runs of 40.98 and an improved 38.41 for a total of 1:19.39.
- NEC sophomore Hogan Bemis (Stow, Maine) led the way on the men's side with a 13th place finish. Bemis had runs of 30:70 and 29:85 for a total of 1:00.55.
- NEC junior Robert Hotchkiss (New Durham, N.H.) finished second on the team for the men, riding a 1:07.06 to a 22nd overall place.
- NEC freshman Owen Kizak (Manchester, N.H.) recorded times of 34:52 and 33:35 for an accumulated 1:07.87 and a 24th-place finish.
- NEC graduate Colin Shaw (Colebrook, N.H.) clocked in at 1:09.06 with individual runs of 35:42 and 33:64.
- NEC senior Zac Lacasse (Hudson, N.H.) totaled 1:09:62 with runs timed at 35:85 and 33.77.
