HENNIKER, N.H. – Freshman goalkeeper
Nate Finn (Norwood, Mass.) of the New England College men's lacrosse team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 14, 2024 in an announcement by the conference on Monday.
Finn posted a pair of stellar performances against the AMCATS of Anna Maria College and the Raiders of Rivier University that helped the team gather a record of 1-1 for the week, tallying 37 saves with a 69.8 save percentage over two games.
First against Anna Maria on Wednesday, Finn did his part in between the pipes for the 'Grims as he collected an astonishing 24 saves and an 82.8 save percentage in his best game of his career to this point. This number of saves accounted for by the freshman is the best since the 2020 season by a single player here at NEC.

"Nate [Finn] has done a phenomenal job stepping up into the starting role." head coach
Jedd Brown said in a comment. "He has shown steady improvement in each of his game performances and has become a player we can rely upon."
