HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 2-0 late in the second half, NEC junior forward Logan Cassin (Penacook, N.H.) got the 'Grims on the board in the 72nd minute, that coming off a pass from freshman forward Joaquin Sanchez-Kornfeld (Santiago, Chile) to pull the visitors to within one.
- It was not enough as the Owls had goals from seniors Mbambi Mbungu (Kabimba, DR Congo) and Declan Coughlin (Rome, Italy) and freshman Elias Stowell-Aleman (Proctorsville, Vt.).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC sophomore goalkeeper Ricardo Aguilera (Ibagué, Colombia) entered the game at halftime and recorded three saves on the afternoon.
- Keene senior goalkeeper Anthony Pasciuto (Abington, Mass.) finished the day with three saves.
- Keene outshot NEC, 15-12.
- The Owls are now 10-1-0 all-time versus the Pilgrims.
- NEC sophomore midfielder William Scala (Manchester, N.H.) had a team-high three shots for the 'Grims.
