HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College men's soccer team returned home to Don Melander Field after a scoreless loss at Southern Maine as they routed Fitchburg State 5-0 on Saturday night in non-conference action in Henniker, New Hampshire.

• With 14:23 into the game, Logan Cassin (Penacook, N.H.) scored his second goal of the season (assist by Tucker Stenger) and the first of two in the game.
• Nearing the end of the first half at 42:23, Joaquin Sanchez-Korenfeld (Santiagon, Chile) scored his first career goal putting the Pilgrims at a 2-0 lead
• Only moments in the second half at 48:42, Logan Cassin made another statement play by scoring his second goal of the game.
• At 81:26, Robenson Saintil (West Palm Beach, Fla.) made an unbelievable goal (assisted by William Scala) from 30 yards out as it sailed over the Falcon's goalie's head. It was his first goal of the season.
• To cap off a dominating night, at 87:48, Noel Huliselan (Dover, N.H.) poured in his first career goal (assisted by Wyatt Filbert), which was a game-sealer to make it 5-0 Pilgrims.
• Logan Cassin was 2 for 2 (100%) on his shot on goal attempts throughout the whole game.
• New England College finished with 12 more shot attempts than Fitchburg State (20 to 8) for the whole game.
• Despite being shut out 5-0, the Falcons had an 8 to 6 advantage over the Pilgrims in total saves.
• The Pilgrims had advantages in both corner kicks (5 to 1) and fouls (7 to 13).
• NEC head coach, Pat Laughlin, earned his 200th career win as a head coach as a result of today's victory.
• NEC will hit the road for their next contest as they travel to Keene State on Sunday, September 18th, for a 1:00 start.
