Box Score SPARKS, Md. – The New England College Men's Lacrosse team dropped their third straight game, as they fell to Alfred University 20-6 in non-conference action, Sunday evening at the US Lacrosse Headquarters.

HOW IT HAPPENED
New England College was the first team to score, as Lucas Ferreira scored just under two minutes into the contest. The Saxons responded with authority, as they struck for five times in the first. Connor Smith got one goal back for the Pilgrims, but Alfred University potted four of the following five goals to expand their advantage to 9-3, but a last-second goal from Ferreira cut the deficit to 9-4 at the half.
The Saxons pulled away in the third quarter, as they went on a 7-0 run in the 15 minutes before outscoring NEC 4-2 in the final quarter.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Connor Almstrom, Michael Catalano, and Hunter Sutcliffe combined for 12 saves in the crease for NEC.
- Lucas Ferreira has scored at least one goal and recorded one assist in all four games this year.
