HOW IT HAPPENED
New England College was the first team to score, as Santiago Duarte was able to drive home the bouncing ball in the box, in the 31st minute. Panagiotis Galatas picked up his sixth assist of the year on the play.
Wheaton would tie the game up in the 56th minute, as Luke Strange's left-footed shot curled into the top right corner of the cage, from roughly 20 yards out. In the 63rd minute, Wheaton took the lead. Strange's initial shot was saved by NEC keeper Robbie Ferguson, but Niall Blackader was right there to drive home the rebound. Ewan Noble added an insurance goal in the 89th minute, as he was assisted by Strange.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
