Box Score HENNIKER, N.H.- Cameron Rivard strikes twice, as the New England College Men's Soccer team used a strong first half to help claim a 5-2 win over the AMCats of Anna Maria College in their final contest of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The play was even to start as both teams tried to establish some offense and get things going. The Pilgrims were able to get some good pressure early on putting shots on goal and getting corner kick opportunities. New England College was finally able to break through about halfway through the period as Wiskens Flavil found the back of the net off a pass from Djameson DeAndrade. The Pilgrims pushing as just a few minutes later Logan Cassin added another goal for the 2-0 lead. New England College kept up their attack but was unable to score again as they headed into the break with a two-goal lead.
The Pilgrims were not slowed down by the break as Cameron Rivard put one away just over a minute into the second half to extend the lead. About six minutes later New England College struck again off a shot from Panagiotis Galatas assisted by Connor Manteau. New England College's offense would not stop there as they added one more goal to extend the lead to 5-0. Despite the strong offense from the Pilgrims the AMCats would not be shutout as they put one away in the 70th minute to make it 5-1. Anna Maria added one more before the game was over as the Pilgrims claimed their third straight victory with a 5-2 win.
GOALTENDERS
Robbie Ferguson made eight saves in the win for the Pilgrims, while Kyle Sherman had 12 stops for the AMCats.
