HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first half, both teams match each other's play. New England College outshot ENC 8-5, while either side had one corner each.
The action picked up in the second half, as Eastern Nazarene was the first team to strike in the 53rd minute. Sheelens Ostine's initial shot was saved by the NEC keeper, but the rolling ball found the foot of Michael Frotscher, who buried the shot. The Lions' nearly doubled their lead in the 87th minute, but Bryan Vargas' point-blank shot was turned aside by freshman netminder Hayden Walker. The Pilgrims' had an excellent scoring opportunity with 10 seconds remaining in regulation, but ENC keeper Matias Pait made a diving save on the end line to secure the win for Eastern Nazarene.
