Box Score FRANKLIN, Mass. The New England College men's basketball team runs their winning streak to five games, following a 91-79 win over Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference play, Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Pilgrims move to 16-6 overall and 7-2 in conference play, while the Bulldogs fall to 9-13 and 5-3 in conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs opened up the game with a 4-0 lead as they would maintain control in the opening minutes. Dean exploded early on as they took a 15-0 run for a 21-4 lead just seven minutes into the game. From there the Pilgrims gained some footing and started to fight back as they slowly chipped away at the lead. New England College was able to cut the lead to 29-23 with six minutes left in the first half. The Pilgrims brought things to within three points but the Bulldogs were able to stay ahead as they closed out the half with a 47-33 lead.

The second half opened with more even play but New England College was still playing catch-up as they found themselves down 60-52 five minutes in. Dean maintained the lead but could not pull away as they held a narrow 66-64 with eight minutes to play. The Pilgrims continued to fight back as they finally tied things up 71-71 with five minutes to play. New England kept their momentum rolling as they held an 89-79 lead with one minute to play. The Pilgrims were able to take home a 91-79 lead off a late rally.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-Calvin Cheek had a career-high 25 points and added 7 rebounds and six steals.
-Izaiah Winston-Brooks and Jamal Allen both topped 20 points on the night.
-Larry McKinney had a near double-double with 8 points and 12 rebounds.
-After the game, the all-time series is 4-0 in favor of the Pilgrims.
