WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - New England College Men's Basketball fell to the University of Saint Joseph in GNAC play on Tuesday night.
The Pilgrims started the game with a 5-2 lead with all five points coming from sophomore Luke Montejo (Tewksbury, Mass.). Multiple three-pointers from junior Michael Hills (Baton Rouge, La.) kept the Pilgrims close through the first ten minutes, but the Blue Jays offense took over with a 13-point run and took a nine-point lead into the half. Sophomore Josh Robie (Bethlehem, N.H.), Montejo, and Hills each went into the locker room with six points apiece at the half.
Robie led the Pilgrims with seven points in the second half to finish with 13. Junior Mike Strazzeri (Chichester, N.H.), sophomore Ryan Cuvier (Tewksbury, Mass.), Montejo, and Hills combined for 24 points total with six apiece. Strazzeri and Montejo led the Pilgrims with five assists each while junior Aiden MacLeod (Wilmington, Mass.) and Strazzeri finished with five rebounds.
The Pilgrism end their season with a home-and-home series with Wentworth, starting with a trip to Boston on Thursday at 4:30 PM.
