HOW IT HAPPENEDNew England College controlled play in the first half, as the Pilgrims outshot Colby-Sawyer 16-5 in the opening 45 minutes.
Kyle Clements got NEC on the board in the 9
th minute as he scored his first goal of 2019, with the assist going to
Wiskens Flavil. Clements doubled the New England College advantage with his second tally of the game, putting NEC up 2-0 in the 30
th minute.
Jacob Carney pushed the Pilgrims lead to 3-0 with his goal at 41:06. New England College would add another goal seven minutes later, as they benefited from a Chargers' own goal.
Colby-Sawyer finally got on the board in the 74
th minute, as Dalton Debold struck with the assist going to Jonathan Martinez.
GOALTENDERSRobbie Ferguson picked up the win in goal for New England College, as the junior keeper picked up three saves. Lucas Boetsch took the loss for the Chargers, despite registering 10 saves.
