Box Score HENNIKER, N.H.-The New England College men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action against Eastern Nazarene.
The Pilgrims are now 4-4-2 on the season with a 1-1-1 record in the NECC while the Lions go to 2-6-1 overall with a 1-0-1 record in the NECC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The contest was a physical affair as the teams combined for 43 fouls in the contest. The Pilgrims outshot the Lions by a 26 to 17 margin but only seven shots were on frame for the Pilgrims compared to eight for the Lions. The best Pilgrim opportunity came late in the second half when Vasili Vakalfotis () fired a shot intended for the top left of the goal but the Lion goalkeeper, Florian Resch, made a diving save to keep the game scoreless.
GOALKEEPERS
NEC keeper Robbie Ferguson (Hopkinton, N.H.) had eight saves, while Reschfinished with seven.
