HOW IT HAPPENED
Czarnecki scored all three of his goals in the second half, while fellow sophomore Youcef Ziadadded a goal and two assists for the Beavers. Junior Noah Parkerand sophomore Alex Crompton also registered assists in the victory.

Pilgrims' senior goalkeeper Dylan Mix (Charlestown, N.H.) punched away a Czarnecki header in the fourth minute and made a kick save on Ziad in the 19th minute before the Green and White took the lead at the 27:59 mark of the first half. Ziad carried the ball into the box and cut inside before ripping a shot that glanced off a New England College defender and slipped inside the back post for a 1-0 lead.

Czarnecki doubled the advantage in the 50th minute with the first of his three markers after settling a feed from Ziad and calmly finishing with a shot inside the left post. He headed home another cross from Ziad at the 58:40 mark to make it 3-0, and nearly completed the hat trick less than a minute later only to see his attempt from inside 10 yards carom off the crossbar and out of danger.

Czarnecki capped the scoring and finished off the first three-goal game of his career in the 84th minute when he gained control of a bouncing ball at the top of the box and ripped a shot that went off the fingertips of Mix and into the upper corner.

The Beavers outshot the Pilgrims 22-4 and finished with a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

QUOTE FROM THE COACH
