SCOUTING THE PILGRIMS
The Pilgrims picked up a 102-68 win over Rivier in their home opener on Tuesday before Thankgiving, but suffered a 104-79 loss to Eastern Nazarene yesterday to fall to 2-2 on the season.
Offensively, junior
Ricky Leonard is leading the team with 15.5 points per game, followed closely by sophomore
Izaiah Winston-Brooks with 15.0 points per game. Freshman
Calvin Cheek is adding 8.5 points per game.
Junior
Jason Jones is leading the team in rebounding with an average of 6.5 boards per game. He's also contributing 6.5 points per game.
SCOUTING THE COLONELS
Curry enters today's game with a 1-3 record. The Colonels' lone win was a 72-65 victory over Elms in the consolation game of the Hampton Inn Classic, hosted by UMass Dartmouth. Curry's last two outings included a rare matchup against Division I Yale University, and also a six-point loss to Emmanuel.
Curry is led offensively by Jared Thorpe-Johnson with 14.5 points per game. Barak Swarttz adds 11.0 points per game, followed by Kieran Carroll with nine points per game.
HEAD TO HEAD
Tonight's game marks the 53rd meeting between the Pilgrims and the Colonels. Curry leads the all-time series, 31-21. NEC picked up a 78-50 win over Curry in last season's meeting.
