Men's Soccer Drops Battle With In-State Foe Rivier University

Box Score Nashua, N.H. Despite being outshot the Rivier University Raiders would top the New England College Pilgrims 2-0 in men's soccer action Tuesday night.

With the win the Raiders improve to 3-3-0 on the season, while the loss evens the Pilgrims at 4-4-0 overall.

SCORING

The two teams would battle through the first half scoreless before the Raiders would break the scoring drought in the 55th minute as Christopher Buzan would register an unassisted goal. The Raiders would get an insurance goal in the 78th minute as Buzan would strike again assisted by Kyle Gambeski.

GOALKEEPERS

In goal for NEC was Maxime Danis who finished the game with three saves.

Picking up the win for Rivier was Collin Deyarmin who made an impressive eight saves.

WHAT'S NEXT

New England College will return to action on Saturday, September 24 when they battle North Atlantic Conference opponent Maine Maritime Academy on the road.
