Box Score HENNIKER, N.H.- New England College men's soccer forward Sebastian Andersson (Sunyberg, Sweden) netted the game-winner four minutes into the second overtime as the Pilgrims would edge the visiting Elms College Lasers 2-1 Saturday afternoon.

With the win the Pilgrims even their overall record at 3-2-0, while the loss drops the Lasers to 1-3-2 on the season.

Elms would start the scoring early in the game as Bobby Zaino (Avon, Conn.) would record his first goal of the season putting in a corner kick off the foot of Christopher Dabkowski (Bristol, Conn.) just 11:35 into the game.

NEC would get the equalizer late in the opening half as the Pilgrims would take advantage of an own goal as an Elms' defender would try to clear a pass from NEC's Ronsard Masamba (Haverhill, Mass) but would redirect into the goal.

Neither team would muster a goal through the second period as the Pilgrims would hold the slight 5-3 advantage in second half shots. NEC had the best scoring opportunity of the first overtime as Rizy Misiri (Concord, N.H.) would fire a shot that Elms keeper Nick Pennant (Kingston, Jamaica) would punch up and ricochet off the crossbar and out.

The Pilgrims would come up huge in the second overtime as Misiri would slip a pass through two Elms defenders and senior forward Sebastian Andersson would finish netting his second goal of the season just four minutes into overtime.

NEC finished the game out shooting Elms College17-12 as Elms would finish with the 9-6 advantage in corner kicks.

Picking up the win in net for NEC was Tenzin Khenrab (Greenfield, Mass.) who finished with eight saves. Elms' Nick Pennant recorded seven saves on the afternoon for the Lasers.

NEC returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 16 when they travel to take on non-conference opponent Wheaton College. Elms will hit the field again Wednesday, Sept. 17 when they travel to take on non-conference opponent Johnson & Wales University.
