WATERVILLE VALLEY, N.H. - The New England College alpine ski team closed out the MacConnell Division regular season on Sunday at the UCONN Carnival, held at Waterville Valley Resort.
Freshman Tommaso Sala (Villanova D'Albenla, Italy) led the Pilgrims in the men's giant slalom, finishing 60th overall with a time of 2:16.69. Senior Robert Hotchkiss (New Durham, N.H.) followed nine spots behind, placing 69th with a total time of 2:32.21.
On the women's side, sophomore Lorelei Holloway (Ashland, Va.) finished 50th overall in the giant slalom, posting run times of 1:24.95 and 1:16.69 for a combined time of 2:41.64.
The Pilgrims turn their focus to the upcoming USCSA Eastern Regionals at Sugarloaf in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. The two-day event is scheduled for Saturday, February 14th , and Sunday, February 15th.
