HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College alpine ski team hosted the NEC Carnival on Saturday at nearby Pat's Peak, honoring senior Robert Hotchkiss (New Durham, N.H.) as the team's lone senior. The entire MacConnell Division honored their seniors at the end of the day on Saturday with an honorary slalom run, celebrating senior day across the division's eight schools.
The one-day, one-run slalom race saw Hotchkiss place 74th with a run of 57.63. Finishing nine spots ahead of him was freshman Tommaso Sala (Villanova D'Albenla, Italy) who finished in 65th with a time of 52.15.
Rounding out the men's side, sophomore Corbin Blake (Lovell, Maine) had his first run of the season, crossing the finish line at 1:13.97.
In the women's race, sophomore Lorelei Holloway (Ashland, Va.) placed 64th with a run of 1:03.94.
William Kallman of Middlebury College and Helena Jankovic of Bates College were the individual winners in the men's and women's races, respectively.
The team will return to the slopes tomorrow morning as they wrap up the MacConnell Division's regular season at Waterville Valley Resort for the UCONN Carnival.
