HENNIKER, N.H. - New England College junior midfielder Daniel Varga (Hampton, N.J.) of the NEC men's lacrosse team has been named the Male Pilgrim of the Month for March of 2025 in an announcement by the Department of Athletics on Tuesday.

In March, Varga scored a team-high 27 goals and made a team-high 16 assists to lead the Pilgrims with 43 points. Varga has scored a career-high seven goals in a game twice this season, first against VTSU-Castleton on March 5^th, and then against Anna Maria on March 28^th. For his efforts, Varga was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the week ending on March 9^th. The junior also picked up 29 ground balls and forced five caused turnovers this month.

On the season, Varga currently ranks tied for 1^st in the GNAC with 49 points, tied for 2^nd with 19 assists, and 2^nd with 30 goals. He is tied for 1^st in the conference with teammate Matt Daley (Plymouth, Mass.) with two man-down goals. He ranks 12^th in the league with 33 ground balls.

Varga and the men's lacrosse team are back in action later today with a GNAC matchup against Norwich University at 4:00 PM.
