HENNIKER, N.H. - Freshman forward
Egor Osipik (Minsk, Belarus) of the New England College men's ice hockey team has been voted to the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) All-Rookie Team as voted on by conference coaches in an announcement by the league office on Thursday afternoon.
Osipik had a strong freshman season for the 'Grims, finishing the regular season with 10 goals and eight assists. Osipik's 10 goals, which all came in conference play, were the second most on the team, and, among all players in the conference in league play, Osipik ranked tied for fourth in goals. His 10 goals against conference opponents led all freshmen.
The freshman from Belarus made an immediate impact this season, playing in all 25 games while finishing second on the team in goals, fourth in assists, and third in points. Osipik had four multi-goal games and became the first NEC freshman to score double digit goals since the 2018-19 season. He was named the NEHC Rookie of the Week twice (1/27 and 2/24) and now joins teammate
Anthony Beaulieu (Lawrence, Mass.) on the NEHC All-Rookie Team.
