PAXTON, Mass. – The New England College women's basketball team lost 66-49 at Anna Maria College on Saturday afternoon at the Fuller Gymnasium in Paxton, Massachusetts, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

TURNING POINTS
- Up 26-20 at halftime, the Pilgrims saw the AMCATS use a 20-4 run to surge into the lead to open the third quarter. NEC sophomore forward Camryn Lewis (Taunton, Mass.) finally stopped the bleeding with a layup with 1:08 left in the third, but the damage had been done. The 'Grims attempted to rally in the fourth, pulling to within four off a three-pointer from NEC junior guard Ajayah Lively (Victorville, Calif.) with 7:59 to go in the game. But a 10-4 by the AMCATS led the Pilgrims to their first GNAC loss of the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- NEC sophomore guard Bailey Burke (New Bedford, Mass.) had a breakout game for the 'Grims, totaling 16 points and nine rebounds, both career highs.
- Anna Maria sophomore guard Kiara Gauthier (Warren, Mass.) led all scorers with 18 points.
- Lively finished with nine points, eight rebounds and three steals, all while shooting 50 percent from the floor.
- Anna Maria senior forward Marinique Reddin (Tampa, Fla.) filled the stat-line with 16 points, seven assists, four rebounds, three steals and two blocks, all while shooting 60 percent from the floor.
- Lewis added nine points with four rebounds, both NEC highs.
- The AMCATS enjoyed a 37.1 percent to 28.6 percent advantage in shooting.
