HENNIKER, N.H. – Junior
Timothy Carlson (Albany, N.Y.) of the New England College men's golf team has been named the NEC Male Pilgrim of the Month for May of 2024 in an announcement by the Department of Athletics on Monday.
Carlson led the Pilgrims to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) title this season, individually coming in second at the Championship Meet in October with a score of 156 over two days for a 16-over. Carlson earned GNAC All-Conference honors for this performance, which helped NEC qualify for the NCAA Championships in just their third season as a program. It was Carlson's second-ever All-Conference honor, as he claimed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) accolades after his sophomore year.
At the NCAA Division III Championships in Las Vegas held on May 13
th to the 17
th, Carlson posted a 73 and 77 over two days, leading the Pilgrims by 18 strokes.
