HENNIKER, N.H. - Senior Cameron Sheedy (Nashua, N.H.) of the New England College Men's Golf Team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golfer of the Week for week four of the 2026 season.  

Cameron had his lowest score of the season carding a 71 (E) at the Keene State College Men's Fall Invitational, placing him in second place for the overall tournament. Sheedy secured second place by one stroke over teammate and fellow GNAC Golfer of the Week junior Emil Elias (Ekero, Sweden). 

Sheedy opened his round with three consecutive pars before a bogey on the par-four sixth hole. He made the turn at 36 (+1). Sheedy found himself two-over after making the turn, before responding with back-to-back birdies on the par five uphill 13th hole and par four dogleg left 14th. 

After a bogey on the par-five 16th, Sheedy headed to the 17th hole, a 165-yard, uphill par three with the top of the green out of sight from the tee. His tee shot was right in line with flag, leaving the senior knowing it was on the green. As he approached the green, Sheedy discovered that his tee shot had found the bottom of the cup for his first career hole-in-one and the first ace in New England College Men's Golf history. With the ace it helped him secure a 35 (-1) for the back.  

Sheedy and the team are currently competing in day one of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.
