Over the next two minutes, graduate guard Nick Gomeau (Enfield, Conn.) made two baskets to give the Pilgrims a 4-point lead. Senior guard Alex Williams (Miramar, Fla.) scored six points in the next five minutes to give the 'Grims a one-point lead halfway through the first half. The Pilgrims slowly fought back to get the deficit within ten with just 3:36 to go in the game, led by Gomeau and Williams. From there, it was all UNE as every NEC basket was answered with a response from the Nor'easters. With baskets from Strazzeri and Gomeau, the lead was insurmountable, and UNE held on for the win.
