HENNIKER, N.H. – Three student-athletes from the New England College men's lacrosse program have been named to the 2023 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic Team in an announcement by the association late last week.
Senior attacker
Sam Crary (Newburyport, Mass.), senior long-stick midfielder
Jake Seccareccio (Derry, N.H.) and senior midfielder
Alex Rust (Hooksett, N.H.) were all recognized for their outstanding performance in the classroom.
Overall, 59 different colleges and universities were represented across all three divisions.
Nominees must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale and be an impact player for their team.
2023 saw the Pilgrims rebound from an 0-10 start to claim the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) title, earning a berth in the NCAA Championship Tournament and hosting the first NCAA Regional game in school history.
