HOW IT HAPPENED

The Monks found offense early and often jumping out to an 8-goal lead before sophomore attacker Thomas Norton (Mansfield, Mass.) put the Pilgrims on the board late in the second quarter with an assist coming from senior midfielder Devon Saeger (Chester Springs, Penn.)

Just a minute later, the 'Grims would double their score as senior attacker Sam Crary found the back of the net off an assist from junior attacker Matt Daley (Plymouth, Mass.). St. Joseph's would go on to score 11 unanswered goals.

NEC sophomore goalkeeper Connor Almstrom (Cumberland, R.I.) started and posted 21 saves while sophomore Hunter Sutcliffe (Warwick, R.I.) added 3 saves in a clean relief appearance.

St. Joseph's starting goalie Brannon Gilbert (Gray, Me.) stopped 4 shots in the win.

The Monks outshot the 'Grims 63 to 15.

St. Joseph's featured three players scoring hat tricks; junior attacker Tim Goodfellow (Wayland, Mass.), freshman midfielder Matt Denman (Brentwood, N.H.), and senior attacker Max Lacy (Salisbury, N.H.).
