In an exciting, physical first half, the 'Grims quickly opened a 16-6 lead, but the visitors fought back to a 34-28, NEC lead going into halftime.

The 'Grims were led by a pair of first-year guards Jasen Stovall (Tampa, Fla.) and Junior Efosa (Haverhill, Mass.) who each scored 8 points in the first half.

NEC never trailed in the second half as their 6-point lead quickly turned into double digits. The Pilgrims shot 50% from the field in the second half on their way to a 23-point win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Stovall led all scorers with 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting. He also collected 4 assists and 3 rebounds.

Pilgrims' sophomore guard Alex Williams (Miramar, Fla.) scored 14 points and brought down 8 boards.

Efosa put up 12 points and 8 rebounds while freshman guard Khalon Taylor (Tuscon, Ariz.) also added 12 points on 6 of 8 from the field.

Sophomore guard Parker Desjardins (Jackman, Maine.) led the Terriers with 15 points off the bench while senior forward Matthew Hadnot (Fredericksburg, Va.) added 12 points and 9 rebounds.

The Pilgrims beat the Terriers down low, as they outrebounded Thomas 54 to 31 and outscored them 50 to 30 in the paint.
