QUINCY, Mass. – The New England College women's basketball team took the loss at Eastern Nazarene College on Saturday in Quincy, Massachusetts in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) play. 

THE BASICS 
Score: New England College 59, Eastern Nazarene College 75 
Records: Pilgrims 10-12, 1-4 NECC | Lions 9-13, 3-1 NECC 

 
TURNING POINTS 

• The Lions jumped out to a 21-14 lead after the first quarter and grew it to double-digits before the Pilgrims battled back to a 5-point deficit at the half.  

• The two teams matched one another in the third quarter as the home team brought a 5-point lead into the final quarter of play.  

• A big fourth quarter by Eastern Nazarene, led by senior guard Alondra Jimenez's (Santa Barbara, Calif.) 10 fourth quarter points, extended the Lions' lead up to 19 by the final buzzer. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• Jimenez led all scorers with 23 points on 10 of 16 shooting, while adding 5 rebounds and 6 assists. 

• The 'Grims were led in scoring by senior guard Asia Jones (Boynton Beach, Fla.) who put up 12 points on 4 of 6 shooting from beyond-the-arc. 

• Freshman guard Mackenzie McDonald (Boscawen, N.H.) came off the bench and contributed 11 points and brought down 5 boards. 

• The Lions featured four players in double figures while shooting 46.8 percent from the floor as a team.  

• Both teams struggled with turnovers as NEC had 27 to ENC's 22. 

• The two teams are now 20-20 (.500) in 40 career meetings. 

UP NEXT 

• Up next for NEC, the team travels to Bates on Tuesday at 6:00 PM in their last nonconference game of the season, before preparing for their senior day next Saturday against Lesley to wrap up their regular season. 

• ENC visits Lesley University on Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the team's penultimate NECC game.
